About Us
Jim is a Hawaii based media composer. He brings a hard-working and dependable ethos infused with the Aloha Spirit to each project. As a team player, Jim is as comfortable in the roll of team member as he is as team leader. He is also able to fly solo on projects with a limited budget - composing, recording, mixing, and delivering high quality music on time.
A passion for musical storytelling led Jim to pursue a career in media composing. He is currently working on his Master of Music in Film Scoring degree from Berklee Online. Jim believes that a serious composer needs to be able to have fun. Media projects whether Film, TV, or Corporate can be stressful. Dependable and deadline-driven, Jim’s Island Attitude is able to relieve some of the stress Film Makers and Content Creators can experience.
Born in Chicago and growing up in Wisconsin, Jim appreciates the freedom of spirit the islands offers. Given the ability to collaborate online, Jim is able to enjoy the quality-of-life Hawaii offers while still being connected to the world. On one project in particular he coordinated a weekly online meeting with people in Paris, Boston, and Argentina. He has also supervised online the orchestral recording session of one of his compositions in Budapest Hungary.
